Peter Hahn, M.D., is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital and is a part of the Tichenor Lowman Miller Medical Group. He treats all general pediatric orthopaedic conditions, and takes special interest in pediatric and adolescent spine/hip disorders, cerebral palsy, foot/ankle disorders, and orthopaedic trauma.
He received his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at the University of California, Los Angeles and his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Hahn then went on to complete his general orthopaedic residency training at the UC Irvine Medical Center. Afterwards, he completed his pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego.
In addition to his clinical practice, he is involved with resident education and teaching at UC Irvine. He is actively involved with several research projects at the hospital in addition to his full-time clinical practice. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America. In his spare time, Peter enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, golfing, hiking, and travelling.
Emory Chang, M.D., is a pediatric board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in correction of congenital and acquired spinal/limb deformities as well as pediatric orthopaedic trauma.He received his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology at the University of California at Berkeley and his medical degree from the University of California at San Diego. Dr. Chang then went on to complete his general orthopaedic residency training at the University of Southern California. Afterwards, he completed his pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
Since completing his specialty training, Dr. Chang has pursued further sub-specialty training in limb lengthening and reconstruction as well as the Ponseti method of non-operative clubfoot management.
He is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) and has consulted on the development of several pediatric specific implants for use in the spine and extremities. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids as well as working on automobiles and motorcycles.
Dr. Torin J. Cunningham is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and Medical Director of the Orthopedic Center at Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach. Dr. Cunningham specializes in spinal deformity/scoliosis surgery for children and adolescents, hip reconstructive surgery and general pediatric orthopedic care.
Dr. Cunningham received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego, and completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. Dr. Cunningham then furthered his training by completing a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Boston.
In addition to his practice experience, Dr. Cunningham is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America. He teaches residents from the Pediatric and UC Irvine Orthopaedic Surgery residency program and has given several lectures at Miller Children’s & Women’s. He has been recognized as Physician of the Year at Miller Children’s & Women’s and named to the Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Board of Trustees.
Kenneth Huh, M.D., is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon with a focus in sports medicine and trauma.
He received his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Huh completed his general orthopedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Southern California.
He later traveled to Auckland, New Zealand to complete his fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Starship Children’s Hospital. During his time at Starship Childrens Hospital, he presented on numerous orthopedic matters, including Congenital Scoliosis, Cerebral Palsy and Calcaneal Gait.
Dr. Huh also completed a second fellowship in sports medicine with the Sports Orthopedics and Rehab (SOAR) Medical Group. He was a co-author for various publications for the Journal of Pediatric Orthopedics. During this sports fellowship Dr. Huh trained under the San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49ers team physician and covered University of Santa Clara and University of San Francisco as a sports medicine physician.
His clinical interest is in pediatric sports medicine and he is currently the head physician for several local high school sports team.
Amy Williams, M.D., is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in Musculoskeletal Oncology. She is a 2009 graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she was part of the Medical Scholars Program. She matched into the University of Southern California’s Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program, and completed her training there in 2014.In her pursuit of a career as a Pediatric Musculoskeletal Oncologist, she completed fellowships in both Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Oncology from 2014 through 2016 at Seattle Children’s Hospital and University of Washington Medical Center, respectively. Her dual fellowship training places her amongst a select group of orthopaedic surgeons across the country who have specialized in both Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Oncology.
While training in Washington, Dr. Williams was significantly involved in resident education and served as a course instructor for the Margo Johnson Orthopaedic Pathology Review. Her research has been presented at POSNA, MSTS, and the ACS NSQIP Conference, and published in journals such as the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, Orthopedics and Current Orthopaedic Practice.
Dr. Williams’s clinical interests include the diagnosis and multi-disciplinary treatment of pediatric bone and soft tissue sarcomas, as well as benign pediatric bone tumors. She has an additional interest in pediatric trauma.
Anna Acosta, M.D., is the pediatric hand and upper extremity specialist. She holds fellowships in both pediatric orthopedics and orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgery.
She graduated from Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, and completed her residency at the University of Florida, Jacksonville. She trained at Seattle Children’s Hospital through the University of Washington and at Loyola University Medical Center for her fellowships.
She focuses on pediatric hand and upper extremity care but she also covers all pediatric orthopedic injuries and disorders.
Her special interests include upper and lower extremity congenital deformity. As she trained under two of the great names in pediatric hand and foot deformity, Drs. Terry Light and Vincent Mosca, treating children with congenital deformities of all ranges has become her passion. She also holds special interests in brachial plexus injuries and spasticity of the upper extremity. She trained at high volume trauma centers for residency and both fellowships, and is well versed in treatment of traumatic injury to the upper extremity. She also is trained in microsurgery and wrist arthroscopy.
